Meet Vanessa (aka Coach Nane)


I’m Vanessa Marquez-Kramme — a first-gen, multi-hyphenate creative with 10+ years of experience in storytelling, digital strategy, and community-building. I’m currently getting my Master’s in Integrated Marketing at NYU while building a movement around radical self-expression through my coaching practice and podcast, The Free Genies Project.
By day, I lead social strategy at NYU Steinhardt, where I’ve helped grow LinkedIn engagement by 316% through soulful, insight-driven content. By night, I coach women who’ve outgrown the “shoulds” of success — guiding them to reclaim their intensity, realign with purpose, and build lives that feel like theirs.

I’ve always been obsessed with what makes something land.
As a first-gen creative, I learned early how to translate between worlds. Now, I use that lens to help brands bridge the gap between what they’re trying to say and what their audience actually hears.
